Problems logging into the website?

A number of members are reporting problems with cookies when logging into the website, please read the following if you are having difficulty.

Some users of the new website are reporting problems with the logging into the website.  We are investigating, but haven't found all the issues yet. If you are having difficulty please check the following notes to see if they help:

1. Have you registered? - in order to log in for the first time you need to Register (see bottom left of the home page)
2. Try going to the following url: http://midkentastro.org.uk (copy this and paste it into your address bar if the url goes back to mkas-site.co.uk) and log in (some browsers handle the url's in a different way) - bookmark the page when you get there.
3. Are you getting cookies blocked? Look at the bottom of your browser window, and click on the Privacy report button.  If your browser is set to block cookies the report will list them as blocked.  Go into your browser settings (Tools / Internet Options / Privacy) and reset your settings to allow cookies.
4. If cookies are allowed, try clearing cache and cookies (in your Internet Browser, go to the Tools menu, Internet Options and delete cookies and browsing history - use the clear cache option if it has one).
5. Have you got the Remember Me box ticked?  Tick the box (it fixes some problems).
6. Is your clock set correctly??  Check your time and date (bottom right of your screen) against the current time.  Incorrect settings have caused synchronisation errors.

If you are experiencing difficulties, please let the This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it know.  Take a note of the error you are getting (ALT+PRT SCRN and paste it into the e-mail).  Please quote your system specifications:

Internet Browser type and version (normally accessed through the Help Menu  under - 'about......' your browser name).

Operating System and version (service pack etc.).  In windows you can get this by going to the Start Menu (START/RUN type "WINVER" and hit enter).
