Medway's Mayor visits the Mid-Kent Astronomical Society
Friday 13th June saw The Mayor of Medway, Councillor David Carr visit the Mid-Kent Astronomical Society.
 The Chairman welcomes the Mayor
The meeting was lead by the Society's Observing Officer, Peter Parish who gave a talk on the constellation of the month. Which was followed by a talk on Artificial Satelites by Peter Basset.
Following the talks (and a hot cup of tea) the Mayor was introduced to some of the members who had brought their telescopes along together with some of the images they had obtained through them.

The Mayor showed interest in all the exhibits, taking his time to speak to each member there and discuss their work with them.
